I’ve always believed the best love stories are the ones that make you wonder how on earth two people are ever going to find their way to each other.

I’m Dana Armstrong, an author who writes emotionally charged stories about complicated characters, impossible choices, and the kind of love that refuses to play it safe.

​

My stories may take readers into very different worlds—from dangerous paranormal romances and passionate contemporary love stories to historical fiction, young adult adventures, and suspense—but at the heart of every one is something I never tire of exploring: people willing to risk everything for someone they love.

​

I’m drawn to characters who are beautifully imperfect. Men who are protective, complicated, sometimes dangerous, and almost always carrying a few secrets. Women who are strong in ways they may not recognize yet. And relationships filled with chemistry, tension, heartbreak, sacrifice, and those delicious they absolutely should not be doing this moments.

As a writer, I love creating worlds readers can disappear into and characters who feel real enough to miss when the final page is turned. Sometimes my stories are tender. Sometimes they’re dark.

Sometimes things get a little... After Dark. But no matter the genre, I want readers to feel something.

​

When I’m not writing, there’s a good chance I’m dreaming up my next character, plotting another impossible romance, designing something for my author world, or finding yet another reason not to leave fictional people alone.

Because in my stories, happily ever after is rarely easy.
